The review window opens when the seller records fulfilment and the transaction shows awaiting buyer confirmation. It is the period in which you decide whether the order matches what was agreed.
The review window
The window length is set on the transaction before you pay, so both sides know it in advance. The remaining time is visible on the transaction while the window is open.
What to check
- The item, quantity and specification match the transaction description.
- Condition on arrival, including packaging where it is relevant.
- Anything that was promised in writing on the transaction, such as accessories or documents.
- For services, that the agreed scope was delivered.
Record what you find while you have the item in front of you. Dated photographs and the delivery record are the most useful material if the transaction later goes under review.
Closing the window
Confirming receipt closes the window immediately and moves the transaction to release pending. Reporting a problem holds the transaction and moves it to under review. Doing nothing lets the window expire, after which the transaction proceeds to release pending.
